Todd is committed to confirming judges who will interpret the Constitution as it was written, instead of legislating from the bench.
He has supported the confirmation of 234 constitutionalist federal judges, including Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and Justice Amy Coney Barrett.
Todd played a pivotal role in Justice Barrett’s confirmation—personally urging President Trump to nominate her and introducing her at her Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. Without Todd’s leadership, Justice Barrett would not be on the Supreme Court.
Todd opposed Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination and continues to fight efforts to pack the Supreme Court. He firmly believes the Court should remain at nine justices.
